The Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Administration, Óscar López, announced that the first International Digital Rights Summit will take place in Barcelona on May 13–14, 2026. The event will be led by the Observatorio de los Derechos Digitales and the Mobile World Capital Foundation, and will bring together institutions, experts, and representatives from civil society.
The minister made this announcement during the event “We Are Digital and We Want Rights”, held at the headquarters of Red.es, where he discussed digital rights with creator and equality communication expert Yolanda Domínguez.
