Peeking into others\u2019 lives has become an everyday\u00a0action that provides instant pleasure: <strong>watching without being watched.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The power to possessing information about someone else often results in a\u00a0public dissemination of images without the consent of the person photographed,\u00a0as it is the case of <strong>intimate photos of celebrities hacked off their mobile phones\u00a0and later viewed and shared by millions of people.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The exhibition features a single artwork: the artist\u2019s own smartphone displayed\u00a0in the gallery space, allowing the visitor to freely access her private photo-gallery.<\/strong> Through this experience the artist gives the spectator the chance to\u00a0decide whether to have a look or not, bringing up some issues like the\u00a0vulnerability we are exposed to by using mobile devices, the constant exposure\u00a0of the woman\u2019s body in the media or the market that these images generate.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The \u2018Gallery\u2019 project is aimed to shed light over one of the characteristics of our\u00a0society: the morbid and addictive act of looking at intimate photos of others\u00a0through the Internet.
