{"id":6178,"date":"2022-10-29T06:53:48","date_gmt":"2022-10-29T05:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yolandadominguez.com\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=6178"},"modified":"2024-04-04T16:36:32","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T15:36:32","slug":"sunshades","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/yolandadominguez.com\/en\/portfolio\/sunshades\/","title":{"rendered":"Sunshades"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On September 23, 2022, we conducted a simultaneous campaign in 12 neighborhoods in Madrid which consisted in <strong><span style=\"color: #df3f2b;\">placing windshield sunshades on parked vehicles to oppose the distribution of ads depicting women\u2019s bodies as merchandise which are customarily placed under windshield wipers.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For this initiative, <span style=\"color: #df3f2b;\"><strong>we designed a sunshade<\/strong><\/span> using the same visual codes that prostitution flyers employ (primary and saturated colors, short messages) on which we printed the counter message: this space is <span style=\"color: #df3f2b;\"><strong>\u201cfree of human trafficking\u201d <\/strong><\/span>and<strong><span style=\"color: #df3f2b;\"> \u201cwomen aren\u2019t merchandise\u201d<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #df3f2b;\">The campaign was sponsored by the Government Delegation Against Gender Violence in partnership with No Acepto Madrid and The Regional Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Madrid (FRAVM).<\/span> <\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=59ODFu3rtRU&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On September 23, 2022, we conducted a simultaneous campaign in 12 neighborhoods in Madrid which consisted in placing windshield sunshades on parked vehicles to oppose the distribution of ads depicting women\u2019s bodies as merchandise which are customarily placed under windshield wipers.
